Transforming Dental Care with a Seamless Digital Experience
Le’dentals is a mobile application designed to make it easy for users to find dental clinics, book appointments, chat with dentists, and make payments—all within one seamless platform. The project aims to digitise the patient experience for dental services, simplifying what is often a complex and time-consuming process.
As the UI/UX designer on this project, I was responsible for designing the overall user experience, creating the visual interface, and ensuring usability across every screen. I collaborated closely with a UX Researcher —from initial wireframes to final high-fidelity prototypes. The project spanned four weeks, with each phase—research, design, and iteration—carefully timed to maintain quality while moving efficiently.

Research and Insights
User Research
To understand the needs of both patients and dental clinics, I work closely with a UX Researcher to conduct surveys and interviews with individuals who frequently visit dentists. I also spoke with dental professionals to understand their pain points in managing appointments and patient communication.
Key Insights
Patients often find it difficult to research and compare different dental clinics.
Booking appointments over the phone is time-consuming, and often patients experience long wait times.
Communication with dentists is limited to in-person visits or phone calls, leaving a gap for digital solutions.
Patients also expressed a need for an easy-to-use payment system for consultations and treatments.

Typography
For the le’dentals app, SF Pro Display was chosen as the primary typeface to enhance clarity and maintain a modern, clean aesthetic. Its sleek, geometric letterforms blend seamlessly with the app’s minimalist design, ensuring readability across different screen sizes. The font’s professional yet friendly feel aligns perfectly with the healthcare setting, creating a user interface that feels both approachable and trustworthy.

Brand colors
For the le’dentals app, the brand colors were chosen to create a calming and professional atmosphere. The pale lilac (#EEEDFF) serves as the primary background color, providing a soothing and approachable feel. To add depth and contrast, the dark slate blue (#3D3B8E) is used for accents and highlights, reinforcing the app’s professional yet friendly tone. Together, these colors create a modern, balanced aesthetic that ensures a trustworthy and user-friendly experience.

I also designed the Le’dentals logo, aiming for a clean, modern, and approachable look that reflects both professionalism and warmth. The tooth icon symbolizes care and clarity, while the bold, rounded typography in SF Pro Display complements the app’s user-friendly interface. The color palette—centered around a calming blue—was chosen to evoke trust, hygiene, and confidence, all of which are essential in a healthcare setting. The overall goal was to create a brand identity that feels fresh, digital-first, and reassuring to users.

Sketches



I began the design process with hand sketches to quickly explore layout ideas and user flows without getting bogged down by tools or pixel-perfect details. Sketching by hand allowed me to iterate rapidly, experiment freely, and focus purely on structure and usability. It’s a low-pressure way to visualize concepts early on, making it easier to spot problems and make changes before moving into digital wireframes.
Using hand sketches also made collaboration smoother—since the ideas were simple and raw, it invited feedback and discussion without distractions. I shared the sketches with other stakeholders by scanning and uploading them to our shared workspace, where we could review, annotate, and align on the user flow before moving forward. This kept everyone on the same page from the start and made the design process more collaborative and efficient.

High-Fidelity Design
Easily search for nearby dentists and clinics with just a tap. The interactive map lets you explore locations, view clinic details, and book appointments—all from one convenient screen.


On the Select Treatment page, users can choose their preferred clinic, specify the type of treatment, select the affected tooth, and pick a dentist—all in one seamless flow designed to make booking fast, personalized, and hassle-free.


The Payment page offers multiple secure payment options, allowing users to pay with ease using cards, digital wallets, or bank transfers. Once payment is complete, a unique check-in barcode is generated for quick and easy verification at the clinic.


The Appointment Schedule page lets users view all upcoming visits at a glance. Need to make a change? Easily reschedule or update your appointment with just a few taps—keeping your dental care flexible and stress-free.


The Appointment Details page provides a clear overview of your booking—including the clinic name, treatment type, dentist, date, and time—so you have everything you need right at your fingertips.
Also keep track of your past and upcoming tests, monitor payment history, and stay updated on your dental product orders, all with a simple and clean interface
